AutoCad Technical Designer

The AutoCAD Technical Designer is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans using AutoCAD software for various projects, including architectural, engineering, and industrial designs. This role requires strong attention to detail, precision, and the ability to interpret technical specifications and design concepts. The ideal candidate should have experience in drafting, knowledge of industry standards, and the ability to collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure accuracy and efficiency in design execution.

Responsibilities:

• create detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings using AutoCAD based on project requirements

• collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to develop accurate and efficient design solutions

• modify and revise drawings based on feedback from project managers and clients

• ensure all designs adhere to industry standards, regulations, and company guidelines

• maintain accurate records of all drawings and design changes throughout the project lifecycle

• work with manufacturing or construction teams to ensure designs are feasible and executable

• conduct site visits when necessary to collect data, verify dimensions, and understand project needs

• integrate technical specifications, materials, and structural details into drawings for clarity and accuracy

• assist in the development of project documentation, including blueprints, schematics, and layouts

• stay updated with the latest AutoCAD tools, techniques, and industry trends

Requirements:

• diploma or bachelor’s degree in drafting, architecture, engineering, or a related field

• 3+ years of experience as an AutoCAD designer or draftsman in a relevant industry

• proficiency in AutoCAD and other drafting software is a plus

• strong understanding of engineering and architectural principles

• ability to interpret technical specifications and blueprints accurately

• experience working on structural, mechanical, or interior design projects is preferred

• excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

• strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects

• knowledge of local building codes and regulations is an advantage
