Job Description
The Auto Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing various types of vehicles. They should have a strong knowledge of automotive systems and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and have excellent problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles
- Performing routine maintenance and inspections on vehicles
- Conducting engine repairs and tune-ups
- Repairing or replacing faulty parts and components
- Keeping accurate records of all work performed
- Test driving vehicles to ensure proper operation and performance
- Troubleshooting issues and providing appropriate solutions
- Following safety procedures and guidelines
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and trends
- Providing exceptional customer service to clients
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a formal training program in automotive technology
- ASE certification is a plus
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components
- Experience working with diagnostic tools and equipment
