Associate Data Engineer

We are looking for a highly motivated Associate Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure to support analytics and business intelligence initiatives. This role requires a strong foundation in data engineering, ETL processes, cloud technologies, and database management.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines to collect, process, and store data efficiently.
• Work with structured and unstructured datasets, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
• Assist in the design, implementation, and optimization of data storage solutions such as relational and NoSQL databases.
• Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and software engineers to deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Implement data validation, cleansing, and transformation techniques to improve data accuracy.
• Optimize query performance and database operations to support real-time analytics.
• Support the integration of big data technologies and cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security policies, and best practices.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of SQL and database management systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools and data pipeline frameworks (Airflow, Apache Kafka, Talend, etc.).
• Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Snowflake is a plus.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala for data processing.
• Knowledge of cloud-based data solutions (AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure Synapse) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
