Job Description

The Assistant Manager - Logistics supports the overall logistics and supply chain operations by coordinating transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities in alignment with business goals. Working in a fast-paced environment within the UAE, this role ensures efficient delivery of goods, inventory accuracy, and cost-effective logistics solutions. The position involves close collaboration with vendors, internal departments, and regulatory authorities to ensure timely and compliant movement of goods.


Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the planning and execution of inbound and outbound logistics activities across the supply chain.

  • Coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, and carriers to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.

  • Monitoring inventory levels and ensuring accurate stock movement between warehouses and distribution points.

  • Supporting the implementation of logistics strategies that optimize cost, time, and service quality.

  • Ensuring all shipments comply with UAE customs regulations and import/export documentation requirements.

  • Reviewing logistics performance metrics and assisting in the preparation of reports for senior management.

  • Handling logistics-related inquiries and resolving issues related to transportation delays or damages.

  • Overseeing warehouse operations to ensure accurate storage, picking, and dispatch of goods.

  • Collaborating with internal departments such as procurement, sales, and finance to align logistics processes.

  • Assisting in the evaluation and onboarding of logistics vendors and service providers.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 4–6 years of experience in logistics or supply chain roles, preferably within the UAE.

  • Strong knowledge of UAE customs, shipping procedures, and import/export regulations.

  • Proficiency in logistics management software and ERP systems.

  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills with a strong attention to detail.

  • Solid understanding of warehousing, inventory control, and distribution practices.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

  • Ability to analyze logistics data and recommend process improvements.
