Assistant Manager Logistics Operations

The Assistant Manager – Logistics Operations is responsible for supporting the end-to-end coordination and execution of logistics activities, including transportation, warehousing, inventory control, and delivery schedules. The role ensures smooth daily operations, compliance with UAE logistics regulations, and alignment with service level expectations. This position works closely with suppliers, freight partners, warehouse teams, and internal departments to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery of goods across the supply chain.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the planning and execution of logistics operations including inbound, outbound, and last-mile delivery.

• Coordinating with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transport providers to ensure timely clearance and movement of goods.

• Monitoring inventory levels and stock movements, ensuring accuracy and minimal discrepancies.

• Supporting warehouse management functions including space utilization, safety standards, and workflow optimization.

• Preparing regular reports on logistics KPIs, delivery timelines, and operational costs for senior management.

• Ensuring logistics documentation is accurately maintained and aligned with UAE customs and regulatory compliance.

• Identifying areas for cost savings or process improvements in the logistics workflow.

• Supervising and guiding team members involved in daily logistics operations.

• Managing urgent delivery issues, delays, or complaints with prompt and effective resolution.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

• 4–6 years of experience in logistics or supply chain operations, preferably in the UAE or GCC.

• Solid understanding of freight forwarding, customs clearance procedures, and import/export regulations in the UAE.

• Proficiency in logistics software .

• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.

• Good interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and vendor relationships.

• Fluency in English is required; Arabic language skills are an advantage.

• Knowledge of UAE labor laws, transport regulations, and HSE logistics practices.

• Ability to handle pressure and multitask in a dynamic logistics environment.
