Job Description

The Area Manager – Retail is responsible for overseeing the performance, operations, and profitability of multiple retail outlets within a designated region. This leadership role involves ensuring each store aligns with company standards in customer service, visual merchandising, sales performance, and compliance. The Area Manager plays a key part in implementing business strategies, managing store teams, and driving revenue growth while ensuring all operations comply with UAE retail and labor regulations.


Responsibilities:

  • Leading and supporting a portfolio of retail stores to achieve sales targets, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.

  • Monitoring KPIs for each store, identifying areas of improvement, and developing action plans to address performance gaps.

  • Conducting regular store visits to assess compliance with company policies, visual merchandising standards, and service quality.

  • Recruiting, training, mentoring, and evaluating store managers to ensure high levels of staff engagement and capability.

  • Implementing marketing campaigns, seasonal promotions, and product launches in coordination with the central marketing team.

  • Ensuring all stores adhere to UAE labor laws, health and safety regulations, and retail standards.

  • Analyzing market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

  • Managing budgets, expenses, and P&L reports for the region to optimize profitability and cost control.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.

  • Minimum of 6–8 years of experience in retail management, including at least 3 years in a multi-store or area manager role within the UAE or GCC.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and manage diverse retail teams.

  • In-depth knowledge of UAE retail regulations, labor laws, and customer service standards.

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets, driving operational efficiency, and managing budgets.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

  • Proficiency in retail management software and reporting tools.

  • Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.

  • Willingness to travel frequently across the assigned area.
