Application Technologist

The Application Technologist plays a key role in supporting product development, testing, and customer application trials across food, chemical, or industrial product lines. Working closely with R&D, sales, and production teams, this role ensures that products meet customer requirements and perform optimally in real-world applications. Based in a laboratory and pilot-scale environment, the Application Technologist will be instrumental in providing technical support, conducting experiments, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards in line with UAE regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting product trials and application tests to evaluate functionality, performance, and compliance with customer specifications.

• Collaborating with sales and R&D teams to develop customized solutions for clients based on market demands and technical requirements.

• Supporting new product development through formulation, processing trials, and lab-scale evaluations.

• Preparing detailed reports, technical documentation, and presentations for internal teams and external clients.

• Troubleshooting application issues and providing technical recommendations to enhance product performance.

• Ensuring that all lab procedures and product applications comply with internal quality standards and UAE regulatory guidelines.

• Maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring proper calibration, cleanliness, and inventory management.

• Participating in customer visits, product demonstrations, and trade events to showcase product applications.

• Continuously researching trends, ingredients, and technologies relevant to the industry for ongoing improvement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or a related technical discipline.

• Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in product application, formulation, or technical support, preferably in the UAE.

• Hands-on experience with lab equipment, application testing, and pilot-scale processing techniques.

• Strong understanding of technical specifications, product behavior, and compatibility in customer environments.

• Familiarity with UAE regulatory frameworks and quality standards in manufacturing or food industries.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and reporting skills to support product evaluation and documentation.

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.

• Proficiency in MS Office and laboratory data systems.

• Attention to detail, creativity in problem-solving, and adaptability in a dynamic technical environment.
