Job Description: Air Freight Operations Executive

Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate air freight operations, including booking and tracking of shipments, customs documentation, and communication with airlines, freight forwarders, and other parties involved in the process
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of air freight shipments, in compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to air freight operations, such as on-time delivery rates, cost per kilogram, and shipment accuracy
• Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to air freight shipments, including delays, damages, or customs clearance problems
• Maintain and update air freight databases and systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date information on shipments and inventory
• Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, customer service, and logistics, to ensure smooth and efficient air freight operations
• Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to air freight operations, and make recommendations for improvements to processes and systems

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in air freight operations, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role
• Strong knowledge of air freight regulations, customs procedures, and international shipping requirements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and air freight management software
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Certification in air freight operations or related field is a plus
