Accountant

An Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and analyzing financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations. They play a key role in budgeting, managing cash flow, and conducting financial audits. They also provide financial advice and support to stakeholders within the organization. In addition, Accountants may be involved in tax planning and preparation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger entries and account reconciliations.
• Prepare financial reports and statements on a regular basis, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities, including analyzing variances between actual and projected results.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies and procedures.
• Manage cash flow by monitoring and projecting inflows and outflows of funds.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to provide financial advice and support, such as assisting with investment decisions or cost reduction strategies.
• Conduct financial audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Assist in tax planning and preparation, including filing tax returns and claiming deductions.
• Stay up to date with financial regulations and industry trends to provide relevant and accurate advice.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.
• Proven experience in accounting or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and other financial tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong ethical standards and confidentiality in handling financial information.
