Security Officer

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients, guests, and employees by patrolling, monitoring premises, and handling any suspicious activity or potential threats. Your role is crucial to preventing unauthorized access, theft, and vandalism while ensuring compliance with company policies and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patrol and Monitor: Conduct regular patrols of premises, inspecting entrances, exits, and other areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or disruption.
2. Access Control: Monitor and control access to the facility, checking ID badges, verifying credentials, and ensuring that only authorized personnel are allowed entry.
3. Incident Response: Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, including security breaches, medical situations, and disturbances. Report and document incidents accurately.
4. Surveillance Monitoring: Operate and monitor surveillance equipment, CCTV, and alarm systems to detect suspicious activity.
5. Customer Service: Provide assistance and guidance to visitors, employees, and clients, delivering a courteous and professional experience.
6. Emergency Preparedness: Participate in emergency drills and assist in evacuations during fire alarms or other emergency situations.
7. Reporting: Document all activities, observations, and incidents in daily logs and provide detailed reports to management and law enforcement when necessary.
8. Policy Compliance: Enforce security and safety policies, ensuring compliance with company standards and local regulations.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Previous security or law enforcement experience preferred.
• Skills: Strong observational skills, good communication, ability to stay calm under pressure, basic computer skills for report writing.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and work in various environmental conditions.
