Logistics Manager

The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire supply chain and logistics operations to ensure efficient storage, distribution, and delivery of goods in line with organizational goals. This role involves strategic planning, vendor management, regulatory compliance, and continuous process improvement. Operating within the UAE’s fast-paced commercial environment, the Logistics Manager must ensure timely and cost-effective movement of goods while complying with customs regulations and local authority guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing logistics strategies to optimize transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations.

• Managing relationships with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers to ensure smooth inbound and outbound logistics.

• Overseeing inventory control, stock movements, and storage activities in line with warehouse management protocols.

• Ensuring compliance with UAE customs laws, import/export regulations, and relevant documentation requirements.

• Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and using data analysis to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.

• Coordinating with procurement, sales, and finance teams to align logistics with overall business operations.

• Leading and training the logistics team to enhance productivity and service levels.

• Handling risk management, including contingency planning for transportation disruptions or customs delays.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Minimum of 6–8 years of logistics experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within the UAE or GCC region.

• In-depth knowledge of UAE customs procedures, port operations, and regulatory compliance.

• Experience in international logistics, freight forwarding, and vendor contract negotiation.

• Proficiency in logistics software (WMS, TMS, ERP systems) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.

• UAE driving license required for site and port visits.
