Job Description

As an Insurance Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring that all insurance claims and related documents are processed accurately and efficiently. Your primary duties will include verifying insurance coverage, submitting claims, and following up with insurance companies to ensure timely payment. You will also be responsible for communicating with patients regarding their insurance benefits and any potential out-of-pocket expenses. Additionally, you will work closely with healthcare providers to resolve any insurance-related issues and ensure that all necessary information is accurately documented. The ideal candidate for this role will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in insurance verification or medical billing is preferred.


Responsibilities

  • Verify and process insurance claims for accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Coordinate insurance coverage for clients and ensure all necessary documentation is collected and submitted.
  • Communicate with insurance companies and clients to resolve any issues or discrepancies in insurance claims.
  • Assist clients in navigating the insurance claims process and provide them with necessary support and guidance.
  • Analyze insurance data and reports to identify trends and areas for improvement in claims processing.
  • Maintain accurate records of insurance policies, claims, and related information in electronic databases.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in insurance laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as billing and finance, to facilitate timely payment and processing of insurance claims.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients by addressing their inquiries and concerns related to insurance coverage.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills in insurance coordination and claims processing.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or related field.
  • Relevant work experience in insurance verification, billing, or similar role preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, and claims procedures.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using insurance verification software and Microsoft Office applications.
