X-Ray Technician

An X-Ray Technician is responsible for operating radiographic equipment to produce high-quality medical images used for diagnosing various conditions. They work closely with radiologists and healthcare professionals to ensure accurate imaging while prioritizing patient safety. This role requires technical proficiency, attention to detail, and knowledge of radiation safety protocols. Responsibilities:

• Operate X-ray and other imaging equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients.

• Position patients correctly to ensure accurate and high-quality images.

• Explain procedures to patients, ensuring their comfort and cooperation.

• Follow strict radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff from unnecessary exposure.

• Adjust imaging settings and equipment based on the type of scan required.

• Collaborate with radiologists to ensure clear and useful images for diagnosis.

• Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment to ensure optimal functionality.

• Keep detailed patient records and imaging reports.

• Assist in emergency radiology procedures as required.

• Stay updated with advancements in radiology technology and best practices.

Requirements:

• Certification or associate degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.

• Valid X-Ray Technician license.

• Experience operating radiographic equipment in a clinical or hospital setting.

• Strong understanding of radiation safety and patient care standards.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to stand for long periods and assist patients with mobility needs.

• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and emergencies.
