Wound Care Staff Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled wound care staff nurse to provide specialized care for patients with acute and chronic wounds. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of wound management, treatment protocols, and infection control. This role requires strong clinical expertise, attention to detail, and compassionate patient care. The wound care nurse will assess, diagnose, and implement treatment plans while working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to promote healing and prevent complications.

Responsibilities:

• assess, treat, and monitor wounds, ensuring appropriate treatment plans for optimal healing

• collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop individualized patient care plans

• apply advanced wound care techniques, including dressings, debridement, and negative pressure wound therapy

• educate patients and caregivers on wound care management, prevention, and home care practices

• ensure proper infection control procedures to minimize risks and complications

• document patient progress, wound assessments, and treatment interventions accurately

• perform regular follow-ups to monitor healing and adjust treatment plans as needed

• participate in staff training and education on wound care protocols and best practices

• stay updated with the latest advancements in wound care treatments and technologies

• provide emotional support and reassurance to patients experiencing chronic or complex wounds

Requirements:

• bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) or equivalent

• valid HAAD license or eligibility to practice in the UAE

• minimum 3-5 years of experience in wound care nursing or related field

• certification in wound care nursing (preferred)

• strong knowledge of wound healing processes, infection control, and advanced dressing techniques

• excellent communication and patient education skills

• ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team
