Job Description

The Valuations Manager in Transaction Services will play a crucial role in providing valuation expertise and guidance throughout the transaction process. The primary responsibilities include conducting financial due diligence, assessing the value of assets, determining fair market value, and analyzing financial data to support decision-making. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in finance, accounting, and valuation methodologies, along with excellent analytical and communication skills. This role requires collaborating with various stakeholders, such as clients, internal teams, and external partners, to ensure accurate valuation assessments. The Valuations Manager will also be responsible for preparing comprehensive reports, presenting findings, and contributing valuable insights to support strategic business transactions. With a focus on accuracy, attention to detail, and proficiency in valuation techniques, the Valuations Manager will thrive in this dynamic and challenging environment.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the valuation of businesses, securities, and intangible assets for M&A transactions.
  • Conduct financial analysis, due diligence, and research to support valuation methodologies and findings.
  • Prepare detailed valuation reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
  • Provide recommendations on deal structures, pricing, and negotiation strategies based on valuation insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and operations, to ensure accurate and timely valuations.
  • Stay updated on market trends, regulations, and industry best practices related to valuations.
  • Communicate with clients to gather relevant information and address their valuation needs and concerns.
  • Monitor and manage relationships with external valuation experts and service providers.
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and discussions to represent the valuations team effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and professional standards in all valuation activities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • Professional certification such as CFA, CPA, or similar qualification preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in valuations, transaction services, or related field
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
