The Travel Consultant is responsible for assisting clients in planning and booking their travel arrangements. They provide guidance on destinations, transportation, accommodations, and travel packages. The Travel Consultant also handles travel-related inquiries, resolves customer issues, and ensures customer satisfaction throughout the travel experience.
Responsibilities
Assist clients in planning and booking travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, transportation, and activities.
Provide personalized travel advice and recommendations based on client preferences and budget.
Offer travel packages and promotions to meet client preferences and maximize sales opportunities.
Handle telephone and email inquiries, and respond to customer concerns or issues in a professional and timely manner.
Research and stay updated with travel trends, destinations, and travel regulations to provide accurate and reliable information to clients.
Coordinate with airlines, hotels, and other travel suppliers to confirm reservations and resolve any booking issues.
Process bookings and payments, and ensure accurate documentation of travel itineraries and client records.
Assist clients with travel-related emergencies, cancellations, or changes in travel plans.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, travel agents, and travel suppliers.
Continuously strive to exceed customer expectations and provide exceptional customer service.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience in the travel industry or a similar role.
Excellent knowledge of travel destinations, attractions, and travel regulations.
Strong sales and customer service skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in using reservation systems and travel-related software.
Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
