Job Description

As a Teller, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service in a financial institution. Your responsibilities will include processing various financial transactions, such as deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments accurately and efficiently. Engaging with customers in a professional and friendly manner to address their inquiries and promote additional banking products and services will be an essential part of your daily tasks. Balancing cash drawers, verifying and scrutinizing checks, and ensuring compliance with banking policies and procedures will also be part of your routine. The ideal candidate will have excellent numerical skills, attention to detail, strong communication abilities, and a focus on delivering high-quality service to customers. Responsibilities

  • Conducting customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and account inquiries accurately and efficiently.
  • Providing excellent customer service by greeting customers, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues promptly.
  • Balancing cash drawers and reconciling discrepancies to ensure accuracy in financial transactions.
  • Processing various types of financial transactions such as check cashing, money orders, and cashier’s checks.
  • Educating customers on bank products and services, and referring them to appropriate resources as needed.
  • Adhering to bank policies and procedures regarding security, confidentiality, and compliance standards.
  • Assisting customers with account maintenance tasks such as updating personal information and ordering checks.
  • Collaborating with team members to achieve branch goals and deliver a positive customer experience.
  • Staying informed about changes in banking regulations and attending training sessions to enhance job knowledge.
  • Maintaining a neat and organized work area and contributing to the overall cleanliness and professionalism of the branch.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in customer service or cash handling preferred.
  • Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with banking procedures and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
