Job Description

As a Supply Chain Officer, you will play a vital role in managing the flow of goods and services within a company's supply chain. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the procurement of materials, coordinating with suppliers, managing inventory levels, and optimizing transportation and logistics processes. You will be responsible for ensuring that products are delivered to customers in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining cost-effectiveness. Additionally, you will be involved in forecasting demand, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance the overall efficiency of the supply chain operations. The ideal candidate for this role will have strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a good understanding of supply chain management principles.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to enhance efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Monitor and analyze supplier performance to ensure quality and on-time delivery of goods and services.
  • Manage inventory levels to optimize supply chain performance and meet customer demand.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to ensure smooth flow of materials and information.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead initiatives to enhance supply chain operations.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to protect the supply chain from disruptions.
  • Utilize supply chain management software and tools to track and report key performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product launches and promotions.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement in the supply chain function.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field.
  • Proven experience working in supply chain management or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and supply chain management software.
