The Speech Therapist (Arabic Speaking) is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, voice, and communication disorders in children and adults. Working in hospitals, clinics, or rehabilitation centers within the UAE, this role requires fluency in Arabic to effectively communicate with native speakers and provide culturally appropriate therapy. The therapist collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to develop tailored treatment plans and support the overall well-being and development of patients.
Responsibilities:
Conducting comprehensive evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders.
Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans targeting specific patient needs.
Delivering speech and language therapy sessions in Arabic to ensure effective patient understanding and engagement.
Collaborating with families, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to support treatment progress and continuity of care.
Monitoring and documenting patient progress, modifying treatment approaches as needed.
Educating patients and caregivers on strategies to support communication improvement at home and in daily life.
Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records in accordance with UAE healthcare regulations.
Participating in case reviews, team meetings, and professional development programs.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited institution.
License or eligibility to practice as a Speech Therapist in the UAE.
Minimum 2–4 years of experience in speech and language therapy, preferably in a multicultural setting.
Native or fluent Arabic speaker with strong communication skills in both Arabic and English.
Proficient in using assessment tools, therapy resources, and documentation systems.
Empathetic, patient-focused approach with strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and within interdisciplinary teams.
Up-to-date knowledge of best practices in speech therapy and continuing professional development.
