The Specialist Urologist is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with medical and surgical conditions related to the urinary tract and male reproductive system. This role requires deep clinical expertise, patient-centered care, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary medical team. Practicing in accordance with UAE healthcare regulations, the Specialist Urologist provides consultations, performs surgical procedures, and contributes to continuous clinical improvements in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Responsibilities:
Evaluating and diagnosing patients with urological disorders, including kidney stones, urinary infections, and prostate conditions.
Performing urological surgeries such as cystoscopies, prostatectomies, and lithotripsy procedures.
Conducting thorough assessments, ordering diagnostic tests, and interpreting imaging or lab results.
Providing outpatient consultations and follow-up care for chronic or acute urological issues.
Collaborating with radiologists, nephrologists, oncologists, and other specialists for integrated care.
Maintaining accurate patient records, treatment plans, and surgical reports in line with clinical protocols.
Educating patients on preventive care, treatment options, and lifestyle adjustments.
Participating in case discussions, clinical audits, and continuing education to stay abreast of latest advancements.
Ensuring adherence to UAE health authority (DOH/DHA/MOHAP) standards and ethical medical practice.
Contributing to the development of urology service lines and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and specialization in Urology (MD/MS/DNB or equivalent).
Valid UAE license or eligibility to practice as a Specialist Urologist.
Minimum of 5–7 years of post-specialization clinical experience in urology.
Proficiency in performing minimally invasive and conventional surgical procedures.
Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
Excellent communication skills with a compassionate and ethical approach to patient care.
Familiarity with UAE healthcare systems, insurance processes, and regulatory compliance.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and participation in medical conferences or CME.
Ability to work in a multicultural team-oriented environment.
