Job Description

As a Specialist Interventional Radiology, you will be responsible for performing a variety of minimally invasive, image-guided procedures to diagnose and treat patients with various medical conditions. Your tasks will include utilizing advanced imaging techniques such as ultrasound, MRI, and CT scans to guide procedures like angioplasty, embolization, and biopsy. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to determine the best treatment plans for patients, providing comprehensive care and ensuring patient safety throughout procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiology, excellent technical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and medical staff. Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of interventional radiology procedures under the guidance of a radiologist.
  • Assist in patient preparation and positioning for interventional radiology procedures.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and respond to any changes during procedures.
  • Operate and maintain interventional radiology equipment, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
  • Administer contrast agents as required for imaging procedures.
  • Assist in patient education and addressing any concerns or questions related to interventional radiology procedures.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare team members to ensure efficient workflow and patient care.
  • Document patient information, procedure details, and outcomes accurately in medical records.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to stay current with advancements in interventional radiology.
  • Adhere to all relevant regulations, policies, and protocols related to interventional radiology practices.
  • Medical degree from an accredited institution
  • Completed residency training in diagnostic radiology
  • Fellowship training in interventional radiology
  • Board certification in radiology
  • Valid state medical license
