Senior Storekeeper

The Senior Storekeeper is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse and inventory operations, ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, and issuance of materials in compliance with organizational standards and UAE regulatory requirements. This role involves supervising store personnel, maintaining inventory records, and coordinating with procurement and logistics teams to support uninterrupted operations. The position demands a strong focus on stock accuracy, safety, and process efficiency within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Supervising day-to-day warehouse activities including receiving, storing, and issuing of materials, tools, and equipment.

• Ensuring all materials are stored properly to prevent damage and maintain inventory accuracy.

• Monitoring stock levels and coordinating with procurement to replenish supplies in a timely manner.

• Conducting regular physical stock counts and reconciling with inventory management systems.

• Verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against delivery notes, purchase orders, and invoices.

• Leading a team of storekeepers and providing training and guidance to ensure adherence to company procedures.

• Maintaining up-to-date documentation and ensuring all warehouse records are accurate and audit-ready.

• Enforcing health, safety, and fire regulations in the store environment as per UAE municipal and civil defense guidelines.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field is preferred.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in storekeeping or warehouse operations, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role within the UAE.

• Proficiency in inventory management systems (e.g., ERP or WMS software).

• Strong knowledge of storage procedures, stock control methods, and material handling best practices.

• Familiarity with UAE customs, trade compliance, and safety regulations related to storage and handling.

• Good leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and manage multiple priorities.

• Fluency in English is required; Arabic or Hindi/Urdu is an advantage.
