Senior Network Engineer

The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. This role requires a deep understanding of network architecture, troubleshooting, and the ability to lead complex projects and mentor junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and support LAN, WAN, and wireless networks across multiple locations.

• Configure and maintain network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.

• Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.

• Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex network-related issues.

• Implement network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.

• Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to align infrastructure with organizational goals.

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations, standards, and processes.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior network staff and support teams.

• Manage network projects from planning through execution, including upgrades and migrations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in enterprise network engineering roles.

• Professional certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are strongly preferred.

• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, and other networking protocols.

• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar network equipment.

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
