Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Incident Investigator to join our Oil and Gas team. As the Senior Incident Investigator, you will be responsible for leading and conducting comprehensive investigations into incidents related to oil and gas operations, including spills, accidents, and safety breaches. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather evidence, analyze data, and determine root causes of incidents. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in oil and gas industry practices, thorough knowledge of safety regulations, and proven experience in conducting complex investigations. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively are essential for success in this role. A bachelor's degree in a related field and relevant certifications are preferred. Responsibilities

  • Lead investigations into incidents related to health, safety, environment, and security within the oil and gas industry.
  • Collect, analyze, and preserve evidence to determine the root cause of incidents and develop recommendations for preventive measures.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders including regulatory agencies and internal departments to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Prepare detailed incident investigation reports outlining findings, conclusions, and recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Conduct interviews with personnel involved in incidents to gather information and insights for the investigation process.
  • Review and interpret technical data related to oil and gas operations to support incident investigations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and preventive measures based on investigative findings.
  • Participate in incident response training programs and exercises to enhance preparedness and response capabilities.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented corrective actions to prevent recurrence of incidents.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to incident investigation in the oil and gas sector.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in incident investigation in the oil and gas industry.
  • Certification in incident investigation techniques or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in the oil and gas sector.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
