Job Description

As a Retail Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for assisting customers in finding and purchasing products in a retail setting. Your role will involve providing exceptional customer service, answering product-related questions, and guiding customers to make informed purchase decisions. In addition, you will be expected to meet sales targets, handle transactions accurately, and maintain a clean and organized sales floor. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong knowledge of the products being sold, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment. A positive attitude, a customer-focused approach, and the willingness to go above and beyond to meet customer needs are essential for success in this role.


Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and ascertain what each customer wants or needs.
  • Recommend, select, and help locate the right product based on customer requirements.
  • Describe a product's features and benefits, demonstrate use, and assist in product selection.
  • Answer customer queries regarding the product and provide information about warranties, manufacturing specifications, and product availability.
  • Handle customer complaints and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Process payments and ensure accurate pricing of products.
  • Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, restock shelves, and ensure product displays are appealing.
  • Keep up to date with product knowledge and be familiar with current promotions or sales.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and goals set by the store or department.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve store targets and provide excellent customer service.


Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in customer service or sales is preferred
  • Knowledge of retail sales principles and practices
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
