Job Description

The Restaurant Floor Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant's front-of-house, ensuring exceptional customer service and smooth workflow. This role involves supervising staff, handling guest concerns, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and ensuring operational efficiency. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, a customer-centric mindset, and experience in managing restaurant operations.


Responsibilities:

  • oversee the daily floor operations, ensuring a high standard of service and guest satisfaction

  • manage and coordinate restaurant staff, including waiters, hosts, and bussers, to ensure smooth service

  • monitor customer experience, address complaints, and resolve any service issues efficiently

  • ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety regulations are strictly followed across the restaurant floor

  • train, mentor, and motivate staff to enhance performance and service quality

  • assist in creating and maintaining staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours

  • work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely service and smooth communication

  • manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and efficiency

  • conduct regular inspections of the dining area, equipment, and furniture for maintenance and repairs

  • monitor inventory levels for front-of-house supplies and coordinate with the procurement team for replenishments

  • assist in implementing promotional activities, special events, and seasonal menus to drive sales

  • generate reports on customer feedback, staff performance, and operational efficiency for management review


Requirements:

  • bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field (preferred)

  • 3+ years of experience in a restaurant floor management or supervisory role

  • strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment

  • familiarity with restaurant management software and POS systems

  • knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health regulations

  • flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

  • fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus
