Respiratory Therapist

We are looking for a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders under the direction of a physician.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough assessments and diagnostic tests to establish proper treatment plans for patients

- Administer a variety of respiratory treatments, including oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and chest physiotherapy

- Monitor and adjust mechanical ventilation settings for patients in critical condition

- Assist with intubation and extubation procedures

- Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques

- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and modify treatment plans

- Document patient progress and communicate any changes or concerns to the medical team

- Respond to emergency situations and provide life-saving care when needed

- Keep up-to-date with advancements in respiratory care and incorporate new techniques into practice

Requirements:

- A degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited institution

- Current state license as a Respiratory Therapist

- BLS and ACLS certifications

- At least 2 years of experience in a clinical setting

- Knowledge of respiratory equipment and procedures

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment

- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

- Empathy and compassion for patients and their families
