Registered Nurse - Neonatal ICU

The Registered Nurse – Neonatal ICU is responsible for delivering specialized care to critically ill or premature newborns in a high-acuity environment. This role involves close monitoring of infants, administering medication, and collaborating with physicians and family members to ensure optimal outcomes. The position requires clinical expertise, emotional resilience, and adherence to UAE healthcare regulations and hospital protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Providing comprehensive nursing care to newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

• Monitoring vital signs, oxygen levels, and responding promptly to changes in infant condition.

• Administering medications, IV fluids, and managing feeding tubes and ventilators.

• Assisting neonatologists in procedures and maintaining sterile conditions.

• Educating and supporting families on newborn care and post-discharge guidelines.

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records and reports.

• Ensuring compliance with infection control standards and neonatal safety protocols.

• Participating in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and staff training sessions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.

•  Valid license or eligibility to practice in the UAE.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Neonatal ICU setting.

• Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is preferred.

• Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

• Strong communication and empathy when working with families and team members.

• Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.

• Willingness to work night shifts, weekends, and public holidays as needed.
