Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Radiographer specializing in Computed Tomography (CT) imaging to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating CT equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images of patients. Duties include preparing patients for procedures, explaining the imaging process, following protocol for image accuracy, and ensuring patient safety at all times. The Radiographer (CT) will collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. Candidates must have a relevant degree in Radiologic Technology, be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care are essential for this role.


Responsibilities

  • Operate computerized tomography (CT) equipment to produce diagnostic images of patients' internal structures.
  • Prepare and position patients for CT scans, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the procedure.
  • Review physician orders and patient information to determine appropriate imaging techniques.
  • Monitor patients during scans to ensure image quality and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Maintain detailed records of each procedure, including patient history, images produced, and any relevant observations.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret and analyze imaging results.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures to minimize radiation exposure to patients and oneself.
  • Keep equipment clean and in proper working order, performing regular maintenance and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • Stay current with advances in CT technology and imaging techniques through ongoing training and education.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and adhere to all relevant healthcare privacy laws and regulations.


Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiography program
  • Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Advanced certification in Computed Tomography (CT)
  • State licensure or certification as required by regulations
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working as a Radiologic Technologist, with significant CT experience
