Purchasing Analyst

The Purchasing Analyst is responsible for analyzing purchasing data, evaluating supplier performance, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. They play a critical role in optimizing procurement processes, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.

Responsibilities

• Analyze purchasing data, trends, and historical spending to identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for process improvement.
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, evaluate market conditions, and monitor industry trends.
• Assess supplier performance, including quality, delivery, and compliance with contractual agreements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the organization's goals.
• Assist in negotiating supplier contracts, terms, and pricing to secure favorable agreements.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and supplier performance metrics.
• Prepare reports and dashboards to present key procurement performance indicators and recommendations to management.
• Monitor inventory levels and work with inventory management teams to optimize stock levels while minimizing carrying costs.
• Identify and address supply chain disruptions and recommend contingency plans.
