Job Description

As a Procurement Executive in the automotive industry, you will be responsible for managing the company's supply of automotive products and services. Your main duties will include sourcing and selecting suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and develop procurement strategies to meet their needs while maintaining cost efficiency. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring market trends, analyzing supplier performance, and identifying potential cost-saving opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, excellent negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of the automotive industry. A degree in supply chain management or a related field is preferred.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies specific to the automotive industry to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Identify and source reliable suppliers for automotive parts, materials, and services.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to maintain favorable relationships and achieve cost savings.
  • Monitor and assess supplier performance to ensure quality standards are met and delivery schedules are adhered to.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as production, engineering, and quality control, to understand procurement needs and requirements.
  • Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and regulatory requirements relevant to automotive procurement.
  • Manage inventory levels for automotive components to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Resolve any procurement-related issues or disputes in a timely and professional manner.
  • Utilize procurement software systems and tools to streamline processes and maintain accurate records.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to optimize procurement processes and drive improvements in cost, quality, and delivery within the automotive supply chain.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • Previous experience in procurement within the automotive industry
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
