Job Description
The Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications, providing drug information to patients and healthcare professionals, and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications. They also collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care, including medication therapy management and counseling.
Responsibilities
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently.
- Review prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness.
- Provide drug information to patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ensure adherence to legal and ethical standards in pharmacy practice.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy.
- Counsel patients on the safe and effective use of medications.
- Monitor medication therapy for efficacy and adverse effects.
- Keep updated on the latest developments in pharmacy practice.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
- State licensure to practice pharmacy.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology and therapeutics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing.
