Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Optometrist to join our team and provide exceptional eye care services to our patients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive eye exams, diagnosing and treating various eye conditions, and prescribing corrective lenses. Additionally, the Optometrist will educate patients on proper eye care practices and treatment options. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to effectively interact with patients and their families. The successful candidate will stay current on industry trends and advancements to deliver high-quality care. A doctoral degree in Optometry and state licensure are required. Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess and diagnose vision problems, eye diseases, and other abnormalities.
  • Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids as needed to correct vision issues.
  • Detect and diagnose eye-related health issues such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration.
  • Monitor and manage ongoing eye health issues through regular check-ups and follow-up appointments.
  • Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries, such as LASIK or cataract surgery.
  • Educate patients on proper eye care practices and preventive measures to maintain good eye health.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as ophthalmologists and primary care physicians, to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in optometry practices and technologies to provide the best possible care to patients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including examination results, prescriptions, and treatment plans.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in optometry practice, including patient confidentiality and informed consent.
  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from a recognized institution.
  • Valid state license to practice optometry.
  • Knowledge of ocular diseases, vision disorders, and corrective lenses.
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to perform eye examinations.
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills.
