Operations Supervisor - Manufacturing

The Operations Supervisor – Manufacturing is responsible for overseeing daily production activities, ensuring that manufacturing processes run efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality standards. This role manages shop floor teams, monitors production schedules, and drives continuous improvement initiatives. Working within a UAE-based industrial or factory environment, the supervisor ensures adherence to local labor laws, safety regulations, and company policies while meeting output targets and maintaining operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Supervising day-to-day manufacturing operations to meet production targets, deadlines, and quality standards.

• Coordinating workflow and resources across production lines, ensuring optimal use of manpower and equipment.

• Monitoring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in line with UAE labor and industry laws.

• Conducting regular performance reviews, providing coaching, and supporting the development of production staff.

• Troubleshooting operational issues and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime and waste.

• Ensuring accurate documentation of production data, shift reports, and inventory usage.

• Collaborating with maintenance, quality control, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.

• Participating in process improvement initiatives and contributing to lean manufacturing and cost reduction programs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 4–6 years of experience in manufacturing or production operations, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, safety protocols, and production planning.

• Familiarity with UAE labor laws, safety standards, and manufacturing compliance regulations.

• Proficiency in production management systems (ERP/MES) and MS Office tools.

• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Effective communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and production workers.

• Ability to work in shifts and adapt to a fast-paced, high-output environment.
