Oncology Nurse

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Oncology Nurse to provide specialized care to cancer patients. This role involves administering treatments, offering emotional support, and educating patients and families about their condition. The ideal candidate should have strong clinical expertise in oncology nursing, excellent communication skills, and a patient-centered approach to care.

Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other cancer treatments as prescribed by oncologists.
• Monitor patients for side effects and complications, providing necessary interventions.
• Educate patients and their families about cancer treatments, symptom management, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with oncologists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
• Assist in pain management and palliative care for patients in advanced stages of cancer.
• Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families coping with a cancer diagnosis.
• Maintain accurate medical records and document patient progress.
• Follow strict safety protocols for handling and administering hazardous drugs.
• Participate in oncology research, clinical trials, and continuing education to stay updated on advancements in cancer care.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or an equivalent qualification.
• Valid nursing license and oncology nursing certification .
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in oncology or a related nursing specialty.
• Strong knowledge of chemotherapy protocols, radiation therapy, and symptom management.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to provide compassionate patient care.
• Ability to work in high-stress environments and make critical decisions under pressure.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and documentation.
