Job Description:
A NICU Nurse, or Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Nurse, provides specialized care to newborn infants who are premature or ill. They monitor vital signs, administer medications, feed and change babies, and keep detailed medical records. NICU Nurses work closely with doctors and other healthcare professionals to ensure the infants receive the best possible care.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess newborns' vital signs
- Administer medications and treatments
- Assist with feeding and changing babies
- Keep accurate medical records
- Communicate with parents and provide emotional support
Candidate Requirements:
- Valid RN license
- BSN degree
- Certification in Neonatal Nursing (NCC)
- Experience working in a NICU setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
