Network Engineer

A Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. This role involves working with various networking technologies, including routers, switches, firewalls, and cloud-based solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of networking protocols, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement network solutions to meet business needs.

• Configure and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.

• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.

• Ensure network security by implementing and maintaining firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.

• Manage and optimize network infrastructure for performance, scalability, and redundancy.

• Support cloud networking services and integrations with on-premises networks.

• Work with IT teams to deploy and manage enterprise-wide networking solutions.

• Document network configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.

• Stay updated with the latest networking technologies and industry best practices.

• Provide technical support and training to internal teams as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Proven experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.

• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, etc.).

• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or other enterprise network equipment.

• Proficiency in configuring and managing firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA).

• Experience with network monitoring tools such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, or Nagios.

• Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.

• Understanding of network security principles and best practices.

• Certification such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent is preferred.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
