Network Engineer

As a Network Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to design, implement, and maintain the organization's network infrastructure. You will be tasked with evaluating network performance, identifying and resolving technical issues, and ensuring the network meets the organization's needs. This role requires expertise in networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS, as well as experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking equipment. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of network security best practices and be able to troubleshoot and optimize network performance. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will work closely with other IT professionals and end-users to resolve network-related issues and implement network upgrades. A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, along with relevant industry certifications such as CCNA or CCNP, is typically required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain enterprise networking infrastructure
• Configure and install various network devices and services (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, etc.)
• Perform network troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve network issues
• Monitor network performance and ensure optimal network operation
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure smooth integration of network systems
• Develop network documentation and standard operating procedures
• Conduct regular security assessments and implement network security measures
• Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies
• Provide technical support and guidance to end users
• Participate in on-call support and handle network emergencies as needed

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure and protocols
• Experience with network security measures and technologies
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
