Network Engineer

A Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining computer networks for organizations. They plan network layouts, configure network devices, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure network security and performance.

Responsibilities

• Design and configure local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs).
• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware, such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
• Evaluate network infrastructure and recommend improvements or upgrades.
• Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure integration and compatibility.
• Document network configurations and changes.
• Stay updated on advancements in network technologies and industry best practices.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Knowledge of network protocols, standards, and technologies.
• Experience in configuring and troubleshooting network devices.
• Familiarity with network security practices and tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
