Mechanical Maintenance Technician

The Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment and systems across industrial or commercial facilities in the UAE. This hands-on role ensures the smooth and safe operation of machinery by troubleshooting mechanical faults, replacing worn components, and adhering to scheduled maintenance routines. The technician will operate in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment, often coordinating with engineering and operations teams.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting routine inspections, servicing, and repairs on mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, compressors, and conveyors.

• Diagnosing mechanical faults and performing corrective actions to minimize equipment downtime.

• Following maintenance schedules and documenting all activities in compliance with internal and regulatory standards.

• Assembling, disassembling, and replacing faulty components using appropriate tools and techniques.

• Supporting the installation and commissioning of new mechanical equipment.

• Maintaining spare parts inventory and reporting usage or shortages to the maintenance supervisor.

• Ensuring all work is performed in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable in the UAE.

• Coordinating with other technical teams during shutdowns, emergencies, or major repairs.

Requirements:

• Diploma or ITI certification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in the manufacturing, utilities, or facilities management sectors within the UAE.

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, safety protocols, and troubleshooting techniques.

• Ability to read technical manuals, mechanical drawings, and service schematics.

• Good physical condition, manual dexterity, and willingness to work in rotating shifts or outdoor environments.
