Job Description

The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the maintenance activities within a facility or organization. This individual will schedule and coordinate maintenance tasks, including routine upkeep, repairs, and inspections to ensure that the facility is in optimal operating condition. The Maintenance Coordinator will work closely with maintenance staff, contractors, and vendors to address any issues promptly and efficiently. Duties may also include maintaining maintenance records, managing inventory of supplies and equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate for this role should have excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and effective communication abilities to liaise with various stakeholders. A background in maintenance, facilities management, or a related field is typically required for this position.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule maintenance activities for various systems, equipment, and facilities.
  • Oversee and track maintenance requests, work orders, and repairs to ensure timely completion.
  • Communicate and collaborate with maintenance team members, contractors, and vendors to support operational needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment condition, and service history.
  • Monitor inventory levels of maintenance supplies, equipment, and parts to ensure availability.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and maximize efficiency.
  • Conduct regular inspections and assessments of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
  • Evaluate contractor performance and ensure compliance with maintenance standards and regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance staff on troubleshooting and repair techniques.
  • Monitor budget expenses related to maintenance activities and identify cost-saving opportunities.


Requirements

  • - High school diploma or equivalent required - Technical certification or associate degree in maintenance-related field preferred - Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance coordination or a related role - Strong organizational and communication skills - Proficiency in computer software applications, such as Microsoft Office suite
