Job Description

As a Logistics Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the logistics process, from receiving goods to delivering them to customers. Your key duties will include coordinating shipments, managing inventory levels, and optimizing the use of transportation and storage facilities. You will also need to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, as well as maintain strong relationships with suppliers and logistics partners. Additionally, you will be responsible for analyzing data and trends to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics management, excellent problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for detail. Advanced knowledge of logistics software and systems will also be required for this role.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Oversee and manage day-to-day logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in the logistics industry.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to coordinate logistics activities.
  • Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Evaluate and negotiate contracts with logistics service providers to ensure cost-effective solutions.
  • Continuously assess and improve logistics processes to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Plan and coordinate the shipment of goods, including managing schedules and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen delays or disruptions in the supply chain.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in logistics operations or supply chain management, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team of logistics professionals.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and systems, with a strong understanding of supply chain processes.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex logistical challenges efficiently.
