Lift Technician

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair various types of lifts and elevators according to safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify and rectify any malfunctions or issues with lift equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems with lift systems and components.
• Respond promptly to service calls and emergency breakdowns to ensure minimal downtime for clients.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts replaced for documentation and compliance purposes.
• Collaborate with building owners, managers, and other stakeholders to schedule maintenance and repair work.
• Provide training and guidance to other technicians or staff members on lift maintenance and safety procedures.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulations related to lift operations and maintenance.
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently, accurately, and within budget constraints.
• Comply with all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in elevator/escalator installation and repair preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a lift technician
• Proficiency in reading technical manuals and schematics
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
