Lead Mechanical Engineer (Static)

The Lead Mechanical Engineer (Static) will be responsible for overseeing the design, installation, and maintenance of static equipment in industrial plants. They will lead a team of engineers, ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulations, and provide technical expertise to solve complex mechanical engineering problems. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a comprehensive knowledge of static equipment design and operation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design and engineering of static equipment, such as pressure vessels, storage tanks, and heat exchangers.
• Lead a team of mechanical engineers and designers.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to solve complex mechanical engineering problems.
• Review and approve engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications.
• Collaborate with other disciplines, such as process and structural engineering, to develop integrated solutions.
• Conduct technical studies and analysis to optimize equipment performance and reliability.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of engineering deliverables.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior engineers.

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Professional engineering license.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on static equipment design.
• Strong knowledge of codes and standards, such as ASME, API, and TEMA.
• Proficiency in engineering software and design tools.
