Job Description

As an Inventory Controller, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage all aspects of inventory control within a company or organization. You will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining current inventory levels, ensuring accurate and timely data entry, and conducting regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies or issues. Your role will involve developing and implementing inventory management procedures to optimize efficiency and minimize loss. Additionally, you will be working closely with other departments to coordinate inventory transfers, resolve stock discrepancies, and ensure proper stock rotation. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. A background in inventory management or supply chain operations is preferred for this role.


Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock counts and audits.
  • Analyze inventory levels and trends to optimize stock levels and reduce excess or obsolete inventory.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and availability of stock.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to minimize errors and discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to forecast inventory needs and manage stock replenishment.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and report on root causes.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
  • Supervise and train inventory staff to ensure effective performance and compliance with inventory processes.
  • Generate inventory reports, analyze data, and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to inventory management.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working in inventory management or control.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
