Infection Controller

The Infection Controller is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring infection prevention and control (IPC) programs to ensure a safe and hygienic environment within healthcare facilities. This role involves compliance with national and international infection control guidelines, staff training, and incident investigations to reduce the risk of healthcare-associated infections.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement infection control policies and procedures.

• Conduct regular surveillance and audits to identify and mitigate infection risks.

• Educate healthcare staff on infection prevention practices and proper PPE usage.

• Investigate infection outbreaks and recommend corrective actions.

• Maintain compliance with DHA/DOH infection control regulations.

• Monitor sterilization procedures and cleanliness standards.

• Prepare and submit infection control reports to management and regulatory bodies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Microbiology, or Public Health; Master’s preferred.

• Certification in Infection Control.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in infection control in a healthcare setting.

• In-depth knowledge of infection control standards and UAE healthcare regulations.

• Strong analytical and training skills.

• Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
