Job Description

The HR Specialist plays a crucial role in the human resources department by managing various aspects of employee relations and HR functions. Responsibilities include recruitment and onboarding processes, employee engagement initiatives, performance management, and policy interpretation and implementation. The HR Specialist serves as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, provides guidance on company policies and procedures, and ensures compliance with employment laws and regulations. This role involves maintaining accurate employee records, overseeing benefits administration, and supporting the HR team with various projects. The ideal candidate for this position should have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of HR best practices. A bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is typically required, along with prior HR experience.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits.
  • Conduct new employee orientation and assist in onboarding processes.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Assist in performance management processes, including conducting performance reviews and providing feedback to employees.
  • Handle employee relations issues, including resolving conflicts and providing guidance on workplace policies.
  • Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
  • Support training and development initiatives for employees at all levels.
  • Serve as a resource for employees on HR-related inquiries and issues.
  • Keep abreast of trends and best practices in HR to ensure the organization remains competitive in attracting and retaining talent.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations
  • Previous experience in HR roles, with a focus on recruitment and employee relations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
