Job Description

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and leading a team of housekeeping staff to ensure that all rooms and public areas in a facility are maintained in a clean and orderly manner. The Supervisor will assign tasks to housekeeping staff, inspect rooms and common areas for cleanliness, and address any issues or deficiencies in a timely manner. They will also train new housekeeping staff, schedule shifts, and ensure that all cleaning materials and equipment are stocked and in good working condition. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in housekeeping, strong leadership skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. A passion for maintaining cleanliness and organization is essential, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities

  • Supervise and train housekeeping staff to ensure high standards of cleanliness and organization
  • Schedule and assign daily duties to housekeeping team members according to occupancy levels
  • Inspect rooms and public areas to ensure they meet cleanliness and maintenance standards
  • Coordinate with other departments to fulfill guest requests and resolve any housekeeping-related issues
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Implement and enforce safety procedures and guidelines for all housekeeping activities
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to housekeeping staff
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and developments in housekeeping techniques
  • Assist in the development and implementation of housekeeping protocols and procedures
  • Handle guest complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a housekeeping supervisor or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple tasks at once
