HIS Application Support

An HIS Application Support specialist is responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for Health Information Systems (HIS) applications used in healthcare organizations. The role involves working closely with users to resolve system issues, enhance functionality, and ensure system uptime. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in healthcare IT and a solid understanding of HIS applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for HIS applications to ensure system functionality.
• Assist users in troubleshooting and resolving system issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with the IT team to implement system updates and enhancements.
• Conduct system testing and validation to ensure accuracy and data integrity.
• Create and maintain documentation for system configurations and procedures.
• Train end users on new system features and functionality.
• Monitor system performance and address any performance issues.
• Participate in system upgrades and migrations to new platforms.
• Assist in the development and implementation of system security measures.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices related to HIS applications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in supporting HIS applications in a healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare information systems and electronic health records.
• Experience with system integration and data exchange in healthcare environments.
• Certification in relevant healthcare IT systems or applications is a plus.
