Heavy Forklift Operator

The heavy forklift operator is responsible for operating and maintaining heavy-duty forklifts to move and transport materials within the organization's premises. They will load and unload materials, stack and arrange materials in designated areas, and ensure the safe operation of the forklift. The heavy forklift operator will also perform inspections and routine maintenance on the forklift.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy-duty forklifts to load, unload, move, and stack materials.
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures to ensure the safe operation of the forklift.
• Inspect forklifts and perform routine maintenance tasks, such as checking fluid levels and replacing worn parts.
• Secure materials and ensure proper weight distribution before lifting or moving them.
• Stack and arrange materials in designated areas to optimize storage space.
• Assist in inventory control by accurately recording and documenting materials movements.
• Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure efficient material handling.
• Report any forklift malfunctions or damage to the supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
